73rd Pakistan Independence Day celebration Brighton Beach

Apna team has organized an incredible and historical Celebration of Pakistan’s 73rd Independence Day in Brighton Beach. Consul General of Pakistan Ayesha Ali Consulate General of Pakistan New York was the Chief Guest of the event.
There were more than three hundred attendees from all ages and all ethnicities, First time many elected officials have attended a Pakistani event in Brooklyn together including Congressman Hakeem Jeffries Comptroller Scott M. Stringer , Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams Assemblywoman Mathylde Frontus representative of Mayor’s Office Mariya Markh , 2020 Census Representative Abdalla Hassan, representative from NYC Emergency Management- Jill Cornel,Laura McKenna from NHS Brooklyn at Brighton Beach and Southbk Coad, Captain @Adeel Rana, Ltd. Zagham Abbas , many Pakistani community leaders, activists have also joined the event including Karim Wattoo, Aslam Dhillon, Mohammad Nasim Gilgiti, @Iftikhar Butt from Pakistan Day Parade, @fnu moummar Anwar from ICNA Relief, @Ather termini and Muhammad Asad from APPACMany, city council candidates were in attendance as well including Steven D Patzer, Amber Adler, @Dimple Willabus and @Boruch Noble.

A beautiful flat bed (Float) was decorated which was elaborating the history of Pakistan and the contribution of great founder and leaders of Pakistan. colorful ethnic dresses, food, music and toys kept the audience well engaged and entertained. Even rain did not stop this great celebration.
More than 300 toys and 600 freshly cooked food boxes were distributed. Cake cutting ceremony was also a beautiful part of celebration. Thanks Shorefront Toys for Tots- Brian Gotlieb, Shazia Pharmacy and Healthways pharmacy for donating toys. Thanks to Rethink Food NYC for donating meal boxes.
